Conference

The 32nd Caretakers of the Environment International (CEI) Conference ‘Let’s Experience Nature’ will take place in Judenburg, Austria from the 8th of July to 14th of July 2018.

The conference is hosted by the Bundesgymnasium und Bundesrealgymnasium Judenburg (BG/BRG Judenburg) in cooperation with Caretakers Austria and the Military Base TÜPL Seetaler Alpe.

CEI is an international network of secondary schools that are active in Environmental Education. It is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation that organises conferences for students and teachers related to environmental issues in the context of education.

The CEI 2018 conference hopes to accommodate 200-250 international delegates. The CEI delegates are generally secondary school students (aged 14-19) accompanied by their teachers or mentors. It is recommended that each delegation consists of 1-2 teachers and 2-5 students. All delegations will present their projects (10 minute speeches) related to the conference theme through two oral presentations.

The conference venues will be held at the school building of the BG/BRG Judenburg and the Military Base TÜPL Seetaler Alpe.

There will be a variety of educational field trips, seminars and workshops to support and enhance the experience of the participants.
